In a significant Premier League clash, Fulham outclassed Tottenham Hotspur with a convincing 3-0 victory at Craven Cottage, casting a shadow over Spurs’ aspirations for a top-four finish.

Rodrigo Muniz emerged as the hero, netting two goals to propel his team to an impressive win.

This triumph marks Fulham’s first league win over Tottenham in their last ten encounters, adding to their earlier success against the same opponents in the League Cup.

Tottenham’s hopes of overtaking Aston Villa for the fourth spot were dashed by a performance that lacked energy and conviction, except for a brief period before the halftime whistle.

The game turned in Fulham’s favor in the 42nd minute with Muniz’s opener, and their lead was solidified early in the second half by Sasa Lukic, setting the stage for Muniz’s second goal.

This defeat leaves Tottenham in fifth place with 53 points from 28 matches, while Fulham sits comfortably in the 12th position with 38 points from 29 games.

The outcome was particularly disheartening for Spurs, following a 4-0 win against Aston Villa that had previously boosted their Champions League qualification hopes.

Spurs’ manager, Ange Postecoglou, expressed his disappointment, especially with the team’s second-half performance, citing a drop in intensity and overall play that fell short of the year’s standards.

The match was alive with opportunities, with Fulham displaying more urgency right from the start.

Despite Tottenham’s late attempts to pose a threat, Fulham’s Antonee Robinson and Muniz combined brilliantly for the first goal.

Fulham’s dominance continued in the second half, with Muniz sealing the victory by capitalizing on a chance following a shot by Calvin Bassey that hit the post.

Despite late attempts by Tottenham substitutes Richarlison and Timo Werner, the team failed to extend their streak of scoring in 38 consecutive league games.

Fulham’s manager, Marco Silva, lauded his team’s performance, emphasizing their deserving win against a formidable opponent.

The victory underscores Fulham’s home strength, marking their ninth home win of the season and adding another memorable chapter to their campaign.
